Sesame Street Unveils iPhone and iPad App for Military Families

The Sesame Street for Military Families iPhone and iPad app helps parents speak to children about deployments, homecomings, injuries, grief and self-expression.

Elmo and his friends are helping military families help their children deal with the stresses of deployment with its free new app available for the iPhone and iPad, the show said in a statement.
The Sesame Street for Military Families app helps parents speak to children about deployments, homecomings, injuries, grief and self-expression. Because of the sensitive nature of the content, Sesame Street recommends parents review the app before using it with their children.

New mobile app Tutor.com To Go!

Let me tell you, I have used this app for my oldest daugther, 4th grade MATH these days is NO JOKE.

So there is a new mobile app Tutor.com To Go! The app gives eligible military students another way to access the Tutor.com for Military Families program. Students can connect to a live tutor for one-to-one help from their iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch. Students must have an account with the Tutor.com for Military Families program to connect to a tutor, and the app is available as a free download in the iTunes Store:

TUTOR.COM TO GO FEATURES
Students can store essays, homework problems and other assignments in their mobile locker, and share items from their locker with a tutor. Students can take pictures of assignments and textbook pages from their iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch, and store them in their locker. Students can save and review past tutoring sessions.
